SCAD Presents: One Step Away

This deeply personal, 12-minute documentary directed by SCAD alum Leslie Merlin shares the courageous journey of Sabrina Spanta (SCAD B.F.A., fashion, 2016) who worked with SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace to help her sisters escape the Taliban in Afghanistan. The film highlights the transformative power of persistence and collaboration and seeks hope for a future where women are free from persecution.

I had the privilege of editing and story producing this film, and am excited to see it making the rounds in and garnering awards in the festival circuit, as it brings awareness to this very real and sensitive topic.
